サムライジーンズによって日本国内で生産された和綿は無農薬で栽培され、収穫、紡績、織布、染め、縫製という、ワタから衣料になるまでのプロセスをすべて日本国内で行われています。日本で綿を栽培し、国内の熟練職人による紡績・染色・織布・縫製を経て生まれる完全「MADE IN JAPAN」の製品です。

シルエットは身幅がやや絞られ、着丈もやや短めにされたアメカジスタイルのボックスシルエット(ボクシーフィットスタイル)に設定され、スタイリッシュにご着用いただけますようにカスタマイズされています。1枚でメインのTシャツとして着ても、インナーとしても、レイヤードアイテムとしても重宝されるTシャツです。

素材は綿100%の和綿サムライコットンを使用した10番のムラ糸(不規則な節を持ったスラブヤーン)で天竺・裏毛に編み立てられた肉厚で分厚いスーパーヘビーウェイト生地です。強撚で硬くムラの強い風合い、落ち綿・綿カスを残した、原綿が本来もつ素朴な表情と自然なムラ感をそのまま活かしたサムライジーンズ独自のスラブ糸をじっくりと編み立てて生地にする事で、生地表面には杢調の風合い、ネップ感、スラブ感など激しい凹凸を持ったゴツゴツとした質感が強調されています。不均一で不均等な筋状の織りムラ・ネップ感・ワイルドなザラつきがある独特の荒々しい無骨な表情ながら、自然な柔らかさや温かみも感じるサイドシームボディ(横割り仕様)に仕上げられています。※ネップ(糸だまり)が生地表面の織目からにランダムにダマ状に飛び出していますが、サムライコットン特有のコンセプトとして予めご理解ください。フライス(リブ)も同じ糸を使って編み立てられています。一般的に見受けられるヘビーウェイトTシャツよりも肉厚でボリューム感のあるスーパーヘビーウェイト仕様で、原綿が本来もつナチュラルで素朴な表情が残されたTシャツに仕上げられています。

この製品には、ワンウォッシュ加工がかけられています。そのため、Tシャツには、程よいオールド感とヴィンテージ感が生まれ、クラシックな印象を与えるTシャツに仕上げられています。また、ワンウォッシュですでに生地の縮みが発生しているので、洗濯後の縮みが少なくサイズ感が安定しているのも利点のひとつです。着込むほどに、さらに生地が馴染み風合いを増していきます。

ネックリブ(襟周り)は着用を繰り返しても伸びにくい特徴を持つ、耐久性に優れたバインダーネック3本針仕様です。3本針1本落としのスペシャルミシンにてネック縫製が施されています。

脇や肩などは、サムライジーンズ所有の60年代のヴィンテージユニオンスペシャル36200「4本針フラットシーマミシン」を使用して、総綿糸仕様で丁寧に縫製されています。フラットシーマはステッチをかけたときに生地の裏側の縫い代部分の膨らみがなく、肌にあたった時のストレスも少ないフラット(平ら)な仕上がりで、着心地の良さが高まります。縫製部分のアウトロックステッチは、デザインのアクセントにもされています。

色合いは、サムライコットン糸本来の雰囲気を残すため、綿本来の色味を活かした自然な生成色の無漂白コットンがベースにされ、素材本来の色合いを楽しめる味わい深いアースカラーに製品染めされています。

This super heavy plain T-shirt is made in Japan and produced by Samurai Jeans. Samurai Jeans is a modern denim label established in 1998 based in Osaka, Japan. Samurai Jeans's products are introduced Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary elements into american classic clothing making. The pattern construction of this plain super heavyweight T-shirt is modeled after vintage-style tee shirts, but this solid tee has been re-designed with the Samurai Jeans's brand own detailing, contemporary interpretation and a modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Samurai Jeans. Made of a slub super heavy jersey fabric knitted with 100% organic Japanese cotton from Samurai, which has a very thicker than any of other normal heavyweight t-shirts.
